Planet Coaster’s Ghostbusters expansion heading to consoles later this week

Planet Coaster: Console Edition players on Xbox and PlayStation can soon bring a touch of movie magic to their parks with the arrival of two more DLC expansions – Ghostbusters and the Studios Pack – on 29th April.

Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters (which you can get a taste of in the PC trailer below) marks a slight departure from the theme park sim’s usual ride-and-scenery-based DLC format by delivering a brand-new story-driven campaign – in this instance, inspired by the beloved 80s supernatural-comedy movie, complete with guest appearances from Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton.

That’s not to say new rides and scenery aren’t also forthcoming. Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters adds the likes of ECTO-1, Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Ghostbusters HQ, and Spook Central on the scenery front, and it expands the base game’s ride roster with the Slimer-themed RollerGhoster and The Ghostbusters Experience, an interactive track ride where guests (and players) can bust ghosts to rack up points.
