Well, this is a blast from the past.
The latest skin pack for Mortal Kombat 11 brings a few classic look to NetherRealm’s bloody brawler.
The Klassic MK Skin Pack introduces the voices and likenesses of Christopher Lambert, Linden Ashby, and Bridgette Wilson-Sampras from the iconic 1995 Mortal Kombat film to the game for Raiden, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade respectively.
These skins are known as “Protector of Earthrealm Raiden,” “Hollywood Kombatant Johnny Cage” and “Island Bound Sonya Blade.”
They’re available right now and costs £4.99.
This retro-themed content was hinted at in September, when a data miner found voice lines belonging to Lambert, Ashby and Wilson-Sampras in Mortal Kombat 11’s code.
Mortal Kombat 11 was originally released back in 2019, with publisher Warner Bros and developer NetherRealm providing a decent amount of post-launch content for the brawler.
An updated version – Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate – was released earlier this month, introducing a number of film-based characters to the fray, including Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo.
Speaking of Mortal Kombat films, the franchise reboot has been delayed indefinitely. The movie was set for release on March 5, 2021, but it seems that the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic has messed with that plan.
