Insomniac Games has handed Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales players a new Spidey suit with the latest update.
Rolling out today, the Spider-Man: Miles Morales update brings the Advanced Tech Suit to the game, and also includes some various fixes.
One of the cool things being added, but only to the PS5 version, is realistic muscle deformation on select suits.
What Insomniac has done is fully simulated the character from the inside-out, using techniques only previously available for films.
This tech allows deformation which you will see on the surface of the costume. What this means is you can expect more realistic muscle and cloth simulation with the muscles moving inside the cloth of a suit.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales has proven to be a hit for PlayStation as in 2020 it sold over 4.1 million units. This number includes PS4 and PS5 copies, both digitally and at retail.
In comparison, Insomniac’s previous Spider-Man game sold over 3.3 million in three days. It has now sold over 20 million units since its September 2018 release.
