Pokémon Go Twitch drop times for 2024 Pokémon World Championships codes

Pokémon Go Twitch drops are available for those watching this year’s Pokémon World Championships.

Alongside the in-game “2024 Pokémon World Championships” event, watching the Pokémon Go side of the competition on Twitch will grant codes rewarding Timed Research with encounters with both meta and event-specific Pokémon, as well as an in-game avatar T-shirt.

The snag is the various rewards all have their own unique sources — and so this guide explains how to get all Twitch codes over the course of the weekend, and the times you need to tune in for to claim them.

How to get Pokémon World Championship Twitch drops

There are three different types of rewards available during the Pokémon World Championships.

Official Twitch drop codes

There are two Twitch drops up for grabs by watching the official Pokémon World Championship streams over the course of the competition. To take part, you must:

  1. Connect your Pokémon Trainer Club account to Twitch by visiting the official Pokémon website.
  2. Watch 30 minutes of the Pokémon Go stream during on day one and/or day two (see later in the guide for the start times).
  3. Visit your Twitch drops inventory to find the code.
  4. Redeem the code on the Pokémon Go code redemption site.

To clarify, there are two Twitch drops up for grabs from the official stream — the first (with a Sableye encounter Timed Research) on the Friday, and the second (with branching Timed Research) on the Saturday.

Partner co-stream drop codes

As well as two Timed Research codes from official streams, you can also claim a code with an additional Timed Research (rewarding a snorkel event costumed Pikachu encounter) by watching a partnered co-stream for 30 minutes over the course of the three day competition. (For Pokémon TCG Live players, a Spheal Appeal deck box, coin, and card sleeves are also up for grabs if you watch for an entire 60 minutes.)

Confirmed co-streamers include:

Note that the same account linking process as the official Twitch streaming steps still applies — so make sure you do that, then check your Twitch drop inventory to get the code.

Broadcast code giveaway

As well as unique Timed Research codes awarded to your Twitch inventory, on day one only an additional code will be displayed in the broadcast itself for all players to redeem. It rewards an in-game T-shirt for your avatar. Those attending the competition in-person can also get an exclusive version through a scavenger hunt.
