The 2020 Tokyo Olympics officially started today and during the parade of athletes, video game music was played.
The music kicked off with the theme from Athletes Dragon Quest’s “Overture: Roto’s Theme,” which was followed by Final Fantasy “Victory Fanfare,” Tales of series “Sorey’s Theme – The Shepherd,” Monster Hunter “Proof of a Hero,” Kingdom Hearts “Olympus Coliseum,” and Chrono Trigger, “Frog’s Theme,” respectively (via Nikkei Asia).
But that wasn’t all: there was music from Sonic the Hedgehog, Ace Combat, Kingdom Hearts, Pro Evo Soccer, and others.
