Ironmouse is now the most subscribed-to channel on Twitch ever

The notable Vtuber Ironmouse has become the new queen of Twitch. The streamer broke the world record for the highest number of active subscribers on Twitch on Monday. According to a widget on her channel, she now has more than 312,000 subscribers, surpassing the record previously set by Kai Cenat in Spring 2023. The creator set the new record on day 30 of a “subathon” event where she has been streaming for more than 30 days straight and raising money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

“Words cannot express how I am feeling nor can they express my gratitude. Thank you all so much for the incredible support and thank you for changing my life,” Ironmouse said via X following the news.

Ironmouse is a Puerto Rican and American Vtuber who debuted in 2017. She appears on streams using an avatar that looks like a pink-haired anime girl with devil horns. Self-described in her channel bio as, “your cringe demon queen,” the streamer is known for playing games live and her operatic singing voice. In 2020, she became a founding member of the American Vtuber talent agency VShojo and has since become one of the most popular creators in the history of the Twitch platform. She has more than 2.1 million followers on Twitch and has hosted streams where more than 45,000 viewers have tuned in, according to TwitchTracker.

Over the years, the creator has made a name for herself, not just for chaotic stream antics, but for cultivating a community around chronic disease and illness. While live, she has talked about her experiences with suffering from common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), an immune disorder that has left her bedridden for periods of her life. She regularly runs streams to raise money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation and has inspired other streamers to fundraise money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

Prior to Monday, the record for highest number of active subscribers on Twitch was held by the American streamer Kai Cenat who had roughly 269,000 subscribers, who exceeded the number set by Ludwig Ahgren before him in 2021. Ironmouse is the first women to achieve the accolade and, better yet, she was able to smash the record during National Hispanic Heritage Month.
