Always good for a discount even in normal times, BestBuy is on top form this year with a huge Black Friday sale. They’ve cut prices on everything from whisks to fridges, but we’ve spotted one place where you can make savings in the hundreds – widescreen TVs. 

At the lower end of the scale in terms of size and price are a range of small 4K LED TVs from brands like Samsung and Toshiba. Discounts are less impressive, but still hefty – for example, the $300 43” Insignia Smart TV, which comes with Fire TV (Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus and so on) is a third off. 

Pay a little more (okay, pay a LOT more), and you can bag an OLED TV. Standing for ‘organic light emitting diodes’, OLED means you’ll have access to a far wider range of colours then a regular set, not to mention resolution high enough to see every bristling taste bud on Baby Yoda’s tongue. It’s in this price range that you’ll  find discounts comfortably over the $500 mark. If you’ve got a good sized living room and money to burn, it’s the OLED for you.

The deal on larger TVs ends on Sunday. A number have already sold out, so don’t spend too long mulling it over. If you have a change of heart, that’s okay – BestBuy are running an extended returns policy until January 16th.
