In Road 96, it’s summer 1996 and you have hit the road for freedom, adventure, escape, and to try and flee the regime.
From the creators of Valiant Hearts and Memories Retold, comes Road 96, a procedurally-generated road trip game full of risks, characters, and intertwined stories.
On this risky road trip to the border, you’ll meet various characters, and discover their stories and secrets in an ever-evolving adventure. But every mile opens up a choice to make, which means your decisions will change your adventure, change the people you meet, maybe even change the world.
There are thousands of roads across the authoritarian nation of Petria, so which one you take depends on you. The story was inspired by Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, and Bong Joon-ho.
You can expect moments of action, exploration, contemplation, encounters, and even some wacky situations set against a backdrop of “authoritarian rule and oppression.”
It is also filled with 90s hits, and a thousand routes are available through the game so each player can create their own unique story
The game is coming to PC in 2021.
