Steam’s Cyberpunk Fest means big savings on games about high-tech lowlifes

What counts as cyberpunk anyway? Easy, it’s whatever games are currently tagged as “cyberpunk” on Steam and therefore part of the Steam Cyberpunk Fest, a sale running until 10 am on August 10 with the baffling tagline: “They say never look back. Cyberpunk says ALWAYS be in the future. Think about it.”

Whatever that means, what’s important is the discounts that will help us fill our backlog with even more games about cyborgs and hackers and sticking it to the man. Here are some of the highlights.

There are plenty of other bargains in the list if you want to dig down the Steam page, and if you still don’t own the original Deus Ex that’s half-price while Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is 85% off.

Steam’s got a couple more sales planned for this month, with a Pins & Pegs Fest running from August 17–20 that will be all about “Games involving pins (pinball, bowling) and pegs (pachinko, bagatelle)” followed by the somewhat less niche-sounding PvE Survival Crafting Fest from August 31–September 7.
