Godzilla is coming to Fortnite in Chapter 6 Season 1, ready to stomp on everything (and look extremely weird wearing Kicks while doing so).
Compared to previous seasonal skins, like Solid Snake, Geralt of Rivia, and Wolverine, Godzilla’s intimidating frame doesn’t quite transpose to a vaguely humanoid frame. But the character’s signature chonkiness (Fortnite’s Godzilla is based on the Godzilla x Kong iteration) will show up at some point both as a skin and on the map in Chapter 6 Season 1.
Here’s what we know about Godzilla’s arrival in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.
Godzilla skin release date in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
The Godzilla skin comes to Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025.
As with other mid-season battle pass skins, once the skin becomes available, you’ll need to complete a series of challenges to unlock it. (Though unconfirmed, if previous seasonal skins are anything to go by, you’ll be able to to unlock extra cosmetics for Godzilla by completing additional challenges.)
Where is Godzilla in Fortnite Chapter 6?
At launch, Godzilla is not located anywhere on the Fortnite island in Chapter 6 Season 1. But the season trailer shows the King of Monsters roaming and roaring around the map. Unlike the seasonal skin, this iteration of Godzilla is normally proportioned — and, suitably, bigger than a skyscraper.
Presumably, Godzilla will appear on the island in a mid-season update (possibly on or around the release of the Godzilla skin, as dated above). We’ll update this guide when we have more information. In the meantime, perhaps you can visit the giant turtle instead.
