Will the PS5 be on sale for Black Friday?

Absolutely not. Pre-orders for Sony’s next-gen console completely sold out in the blink of an eye back in October, so definitely don’t expect a discount on the PS5 this Black Friday – especially when it’ll only have been out for two weeks (or one week in some regions)! There probably won’t be anything on the next-gen games or accessories, either.

Heck, we might only be lucky enough to get some new stock of the console before the year is out. Sony has said they are aiming to have the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition available to buy again at launch, but we don’t expect these units to stick around for long.

Some new PS5 stock could be held back to the Black Friday sales period to take advantage of the increased spending. That said, with the way the console has flown off the digital shelves already, we’re sure Sony just wants to get more out there as soon as possible.

Until then, there should be enough here to get you ready for the main event. We’ll continue to update the page will any more early PS4 Black Friday deals as and when we spot them. Or, why not give Jelly Deals a follow on Twitter for up-to-the-minute bargains from across the web?

More PS4 Black Friday deals to expect in 2020

With Sony still set to support the PS4 with major PS5 releases such as Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we’re hoping that there should still be more units of the current-gen PS4 and PS4 Pro to be discounted over Black Friday.

Given they will still be sought-after, it’s difficult to see them being reduced to truly bargain basement prices. That said, offers in line with (or slightly better than) 2019 should be on the cards. We’ll be keeping an eye out for the return of last year’s more popular bundles, or newer ones that have been made available with The Last of Us Part 2 and FIFA 21.

You should obviously expect to see PS Plus memberships on sale, so that will be a great time to extend your membership as we head into the PS5 era.

Similarly, there’s a good chance that the game download and streaming service PS Now will also be reduced after it was discounted by 30 per cent over Amazon Prime Day. Sony’s attempt to compete with Game Pass is steadily gaining traction, with the likes of Spider-Man and Days Gone having recently been available through it. Sony has already launched its Black Friday PSN sale with discounts on games such as Ghosts of Tsushima and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice GOTY Edition.

Next to that, we’ll be hunting down offers for some of the console’s top games and accessories. This includes Black Friday favourite PSVR. Will we simply see the same offers as last year or will a more significant discount be on the way? We’ll just have to wait and see over the coming weeks!
