Part of the festivities involves this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/12\/04\/bioware-and-dark-horse-celebrate-dragon-age-day-with-a-limited-edition-world-of-thedas\">awesome limited-edition map<\/a>, but that isn&#8217;t where the party stops. BioWare has released four new short stories set in the Dragon Age world, written by members of the narrative team.<\/p>\n<p>The tales are all pretty brief, but they still contain interesting characters and situations that hint at what might be important elements of the series going forward. Rather than having us summarize and spoil anything, you can take a few minutes and read the short stories for yourself:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/dragon-age\/news\/the-next-one\">The Next One<\/a> by\u00a0Brianne Battye<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/dragon-age\/news\/ruins-of-reality\">Ruins of Reality<\/a> by\u00a0John Dombrow<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/dragon-age\/news\/the-wake\">The Wake<\/a> by Mary Kirby<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/dragon-age\/news\/minrathous-shadows\">Minrathous Shadows<\/a> by\u00a0Sheryl Chee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<article class=\"embedded-entity\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/glimpse-the-future-of-dragon-age-with-these-new-short-stories-1.jpg\" typeof=\"Image\" alt=\"\" class=\"image-style-body-default\" \/> <\/article>\n<p>It may feel like a strange day to be celebrating Dragon Age, considering yesterday&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/12\/03\/biowares-casey-hudson-and-mark-darrah-are-leaving-the-studio\">surprising news<\/a> that BioWare&#8217;s Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah are leaving the studio. However, while those two individuals have undoubtedly made important contributions to the series (and many other BioWare games over the years), these stories help illustrate that the world of Dragon Age isn&#8217;t solely in the hands of a couple people; it has been built and maintained over the years by a huge team of talented individuals\u00a0from an array of technical and creative disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>We should be getting our next big look at Dragon Age 4 at The Game Awards, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/09\/23\/the-game-awards-2020-set-for-december-10\">air next week<\/a> on December 10.<\/p>\n<p>And if these tastes of Dragon Age&#8217;s future aren&#8217;t enough to satisfy you, feel free to get totally lost in the weeds with a couple of our fan theories about possible story points.
