After surprise-launching the game on PlayStation 5 in September (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/gaming\/455993\/palworld-playstation-5-ps5-release-date\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/gaming\/455993\/palworld-playstation-5-ps5-release-date\">everywhere but Japan<\/a>), Pocketpair has entered into an agreement with Korean publisher Krafton to develop a mobile version.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.krafton.com\/news\/press\/%ED%81%AC%EB%9E%98%ED%94%84%ED%86%A4-%ED%8C%B0%EC%9B%94%EB%93%9C-%EB%AA%A8%EB%B0%94%EC%9D%BC-%EA%B2%8C%EC%9E%84-%EA%B8%80%EB%A1%9C%EB%B2%8C-%EB%9D%BC%EC%9D%B4%EC%84%A0%EC%8A%A4\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.krafton.com\/news\/press\/%ED%81%AC%EB%9E%98%ED%94%84%ED%86%A4-%ED%8C%B0%EC%9B%94%EB%93%9C-%EB%AA%A8%EB%B0%94%EC%9D%BC-%EA%B2%8C%EC%9E%84-%EA%B8%80%EB%A1%9C%EB%B2%8C-%EB%9D%BC%EC%9D%B4%EC%84%A0%EC%8A%A4\/\">Krafton announced the deal<\/a> on Wednesday, and said the new mobile version would be developed by PUBG Studios, the studio behind battle royale smash <em>PlayerUnknown\u2019s Battlegrounds<\/em>. Krafton didn\u2019t specify whether <em>Palworld <\/em>on mobile would be a straight port of the PC and console game or something different, but its statement said (via machine translation) that it \u201cplans to faithfully reinterpret and implement the original\u2019s main fun elements to fit the mobile environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Krafton\u2019s <em>PUBG Mobile<\/em> is a pretty close match for the original <em>PUBG<\/em>, although it pioneered the free-to-play business model that has now been retrofitted to the PC and console game. That seems a likely outcome for the mobile version of <em>Palworld <\/em>(which is a paid early access game on console and PC), too. <em>Palworld<\/em>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/newsletter.gamediscover.co\/p\/what-palworlds-success-tells-us-about\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/newsletter.gamediscover.co\/p\/what-palworlds-success-tells-us-about\">biggest audience is in China<\/a>, where free-to-play mobile gaming reigns supreme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Nintendo is yet to expand its legal challenge to <em>Palworld<\/em> outside of the Japanese market.
