Damp\u00e9<\/strong> is an engineer who builds robots called automatons <\/strong>in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom<\/a><\/em>. These are optional little robots you can have assist you in combat, but you\u2019ll need to find Damp\u00e9 before you can make them.<\/p>\n

For the most part, automatons are completely skippable, though they are somewhat useful in taking down swarms of enemies at once. You can clear the whole game without them, as the only thing that specifically requires an automaton is a side quest<\/a>: \u201cAn Out-There Zol.\u201d<\/p>\n

Below, we explain where to find Damp\u00e9 to unlock automatons as well as what echoes<\/a> and items you need to provide for him to make each automaton.<\/p>\n

Where to find Damp\u00e9 and unlock automatons in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom<\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll need to find Damp\u00e9 in Hyrule Field<\/strong> before you unlock the automatons. We didn\u2019t see him until after we beat the Hyrule Castle<\/a> dungeon, so it\u2019s likely that he\u2019s not available until after that portion of the game.<\/p>\n

The location he\u2019s in is somewhat random \u2014 in one instance, we found him around Hyrule Ranch<\/a>, but in another, we found him northwest of Lake Hylia. He may appear in other areas, so you\u2019ll want to scour around. Help him out by defeating the crow and he\u2019ll thank you and head off to his workshop.<\/p>\n
