\u201cGalar Calling\u201d<\/strong> is the season-long Special Research for the \u201cMax Out\u201d season in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Focusing on Galar starters Grookey, Scorbunny, and Scobble<\/strong>, it opens with a \u2018choose a path\u2019 choice between the three Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n

The \u201cGalar Calling\u201d Special Research will be available until the end of the season, meaning you have until Dec. 3 to claim<\/strong>. Once you log in and begin, it\u2019ll stick around forever in your Special quest tab, so there is no urgency in finishing every step \u2014 and with 19 in total, there\u2019s quite a lot to get through.<\/p>\n

The quest debuted alongside the \u201cGo All Out\u201d event and the debut of various Galar Pok\u00e9mon<\/a>, a new UK regional exclusive<\/a>, the Daily Pok\u00e9Coin Bounty ticket<\/a>, and a new set of Go Battle League rewards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Galar Calling\u2019 Special Research quest steps<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Available from Sept. 3, which you have until Dec. 1, 2024 to begin the \u201cGalar Calling\u201d research. Once you have it in your Special Research tab, it will not expire \u2014 meaning you can take your time in completing the following steps.   • Catch 8 Pok\u00e9mon (3 Charged TM)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    At this point, you will choose a path between which starter \u2014 Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble \u2014 you want to adventure with.<\/p>\n

          Choose a path outcomes: Which Galar starter out of Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble should you adventure with?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

          Whereas the mainline entries often have starters harder to come by in the wild, this isn\u2019t the case with the \u201cGo All Out\u201d event \u2014 meaning choosing Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em><\/strong> is simply a case of whichever you prefer.<\/p>\n

          The quest choice not only dictates which starter you\u2019ll receive in an encounter at the end of step 2<\/strong>, but which you need to evolve in steps 4 and 5<\/strong>, and who you will receive candy for in steps 4 and 5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

          The other consideration beyond the above is that whichever you choose in this research step will have a higher-than-average set of stats<\/strong>, with an \u201cIV floor\u201d of 10\/10\/10 (out of a possible max of 15\/15\/15). This means you are guaranteed to get a moderately powerful version of that Pok\u00e9mon, so if you plan to have one as part of your battle party, then opt for that.<\/p>\n

          That said, you catch more starters easily through Field Research and eggs with similar IV floors as part of the \u201cGo All Out\u201d event, not to mention the possibility of getting good stats through wild catches and a dose of luck. In other words \u2014 this is by far not your only chance to get a Galar starter with good IVs.<\/p>\n

          To summarize, the \u201cchoose a path\u201d quest won\u2019t offer anything exclusive, so opt for your favorite out of the three. (For us, it\u2019s the grass starter. Always the grass starter.)<\/p>\n
