Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/a><\/em> hosts a Spotlight Hour <\/strong>every Tuesday. This special event sees spawn rates for one Pok\u00e9mon boosted greatly. There\u2019s also usually some kind of doubled up bonus, like doubled candy or XP, during this time, giving you an additional reason to check in.<\/p>\n

During September 2024<\/strong>, with the way the dates line up, we have four Spotlight Hours, each with their own unique bonuses.<\/p>\n

What time is Spotlight Hour in Pok\u00e9mon Go?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Spotlight Hour events run from 6 p.m. until 6:59 p.m. in your local time every Tuesday<\/strong>. They can be a great way to stock up candy for a specific Pok\u00e9mon you\u2019re trying to power up and evolve or even find a shiny.<\/p>\n

Shiny rates are not boosted during Spotlight Hours<\/strong>, based on data gathered by Pok\u00e9mon community The Silph Road<\/a>. However, the sheer number of Pok\u00e9mon that spawn during the hour-long weekly event will still give you an improved chance of clicking on a random shiny<\/strong>. After all, the more Pok\u00e9mon you click on, the more opportunity you have to catch a shiny Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n
