\nWarner Bros.<\/a> has revealed a first look at the upcoming animated film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim<\/a>, and even confirmed its runtime.\n<\/p>\n

\nThere are two things everyone knows about The Lord of the Rings: that one bit of trivia about Viggo Mortensen breaking his toe and his scream in the film being his real reaction, and that The Lord of the Rings films are very, very long. Yesterday, via Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Warner Bros. Animation revealed a first look at the animated film, which tells a prequel story about Helm Hammerhand, the ancient king of Rohan, the namesake of Helm’s Deep. It is also quite long, as The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> also shared that despite being envisioned as 90 minutes long to start, it has now ended up at two and half hours long.\n<\/p>\n
