That\u2019s why we\u2019re committed to continuously measuring and improving the impact of brand presence on our platform. Our goal is to develop insights and measurement tools that provide brands with a deep understanding of the Roblox audience and reimagine how they evaluate the success of their Roblox partnerships. As we build our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brands.roblox.com\/solutions\/advertising\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">advertising platform<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we\u2019re committed to doing so with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/corp.roblox.com\/safety-civility-resources\/?section=Safety&amp;article=ad-safety-and-privacy\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">safety and civility<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in mind, and to ensuring that ads on Roblox are safe, transparent, and respectful of user privacy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In March, we conducted an audience impact and brand lift study in conjunction with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/latd.com\/about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Latitude<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <a href=\"#one\">*<\/a> The early findings from this study of 2,100 participants demonstrated that people have a positive reception to brands on Roblox. For example, <\/span><b>78 percent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of respondents said they enjoy immersive experiences from brands on Roblox, while <\/span><b>82 percent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said they appreciate brands that provide in-experience content, like avatar items and special mini-games. And <\/span><b>86 percent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said Roblox was a \u201cgood or great\u201d partner for helping to promote brands.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Brands That Advertise on Roblox Stand Out<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since last year, we\u2019ve been experimenting with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/create.roblox.com\/docs\/production\/monetization\/immersive-ads\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immersive Ads<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that allow developers to insert ad units into their Roblox experiences. Our study shows that the early results of this, and our other advertising initiatives, are positive. For example, <\/span><b>three quarters <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of respondents said that they believe brands that advertise on Roblox feel innovative and unique, while <\/span><b>73 percent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> see brands that advertise on Roblox as category leaders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-210051 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1921\" height=\"1080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands.jpg 1921w, https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-2.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-3.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-4.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.roblox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Roblox-Ad-Stats_FINAL-1536x864.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1921px) 100vw, 1921px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the end of 2023, we\u2019ve also been testing video ads with a limited number of advertising partners and studying the impact of that initiative. And today, we\u2019re excited to announce that we\u2019re expanding our Immersive Ads offerings and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/corp.roblox.com\/2024\/05\/01\/roblox-expands-immersive-video-ads-access-to-all-advertisers-adds-new-measurement-partners\/\">bringing video ads to all eligible advertisers<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is an important step forward, as it enables more brands to directly share their messages with tens of millions of our community members without creating custom-built content. It\u2019s also an extension of a growing opportunity for Roblox developers <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/create.roblox.com\/docs\/production\/monetization\/immersive-ads\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to monetize their experiences<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Impact From Video Ads and User Reactions<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In our study, we found that Roblox users responded positively to video ads from multiple brands and consumer categories.\u00a0 In fact, <\/span><b>75 percent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of respondents said they\u2019re more likely to notice brands that advertise on Roblox versus elsewhere. In part, that\u2019s because the attention-grabbing video ads that were part of the study were designed to be immersive and to not disrupt the user experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When averaged across the brands<a href=\"#two\">**<\/a> in our test, Roblox video ads generated statistically significant increases in all key metrics \u2014 brand awareness, ad awareness, opinion, consideration, and recommendation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-210064 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1921\" height=\"1080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-1.jpg 1921w, https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-5.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-6.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/new-study-points-to-robloxs-positive-impact-for-brands-7.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.roblox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Roblox-Video-Ads_Brand-Lift-Stats_FINAL-1536x864.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1921px) 100vw, 1921px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Users exposed to a Roblox video ad were significantly more likely than non-viewers to take the following actions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visit the brand\u2019s Roblox experience (<\/span><b>+10pp<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"#three\">***<\/a><\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Post about the brand on social media (<\/span><b>+5pp<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Watch brand advertisements online (<\/span><b>+4pp<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check out the brand\u2019s website (<\/span><b>+4pp<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow the brand on social media (<\/span><b>+4pp<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Search for more info about the brand (<\/span><b>+3pp<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s still early days in our efforts to give brands new and richer ways to get their messages to our global community of 71.5 million<a href=\"#four\">****<\/a> daily active users. But we\u2019re proud of our early research insights showing that these efforts are having a beneficial impact for our brand partners and our developers, and we can\u2019t wait to help them take it to the next level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span id=\"one\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sup>* <\/sup>Study conducted via Latitude March 20-27, 2024 among 2,100 U.S. respondents who spend time on Roblox at least monthly, including 300 in the control group and 1,800 users ages 13-49 exposed to immersive video ads from multiple brands across different consumer categories on the platform.
