It’s almost Pok\u00e9mon Day, which means it’s almost time for another Pok\u00e9mon Presents. The Pok\u00e9mon Company has announced that the annual showcase for the franchise will return next week on February 27. As for what to expect, no details were shared but if it’s like previous Pok\u00e9mon Day celebration showcases, it could be an exciting day for trainers. <\/p>\n

This news was revealed today on the official Pok\u00e9mon X (formerly Twitter) account with a quick video showing a 3D Pikachu rushing onto the screen to pose in front of the Pok\u00e9mon Presents logo while a retro rendition of a classic song plays. Now, instincts might tell you to read into this model and song but experience learned from previous announcements says it’s not a tease \u2013 The Pok\u00e9mon Company always does this kind of stuff and there’s almost no relation to the big announcements of the showcase. <\/p>\n

While there are no details about what to expect, a look back at previous Pok\u00e9mon Day-specific Pok\u00e9mon Presents showcases might provide some insight. During the 2022 Pok\u00e9mon Day showcase<\/a>, developer Game Freak announced Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet<\/a>, the Daybreak update for Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Arceus<\/a>, a mystery gift for the at-the-time-recent Pok\u00e9mon Diamond and Pearl remakes<\/a>, and a few other things. <\/p>\n

During last year’s Pok\u00e9mon Day showcase<\/a>, Game Freak announced The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC<\/a> for Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet, the long-awaited release date for Pok\u00e9mon Sleep<\/a>, updates to Pok\u00e9mon GO<\/a>, and more. <\/p>\n

If I had to guess, this year’s showcase will feature remakes of Pok\u00e9mon Black and White<\/a>, the fifth generation of the series released in 2011 on Nintendo DS in the U.S. If not those, then perhaps a new Pok\u00e9mon Legends game; maybe both. If it’s like the final months of 2021 and first few months of 2022, perhaps we’ll get the remakes of Black and White at the end of this year and a Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Kyurem or something like that at the top of 2025. <\/p>\n

Only time will tell but fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long because Pok\u00e9mon Presents returns Tuesday, February 27. <\/p>\n
