Inspired by Genshin Impact, it will apparently feature in-app purchases. <\/p>\n<p>That certainly sounds awful, and if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/tencent-working-mobile-version-hit-console-game-elden-ring-sources-say-2024-02-06\/\">the original reporting by Reuters is to be believed<\/a>, it&#8217;s a decision made in an attempt to fend off notorious Tencent rival MiHoYo. <\/p>\n<p>As noted by Reuters, the decision to add in-app purchases to Elden Ring mobile would make for a puzzling twist &#8211; one that seemingly stands in firm opposition to the many merits of regular Elden Ring (as well as the rest of the From Software catalogue). As of right now, there has been no response made by Tencent to Reuters or any other outlet who has reached out to it for comment.
