Layers of Fears is the answer, and it is a \u201cpsychological horror chronicle built upon the foundations of the original Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear: Inheritance, and Layers of Fear 2.\u201d Bloober Team says \u201cthe psychedelic experience fans know and love will include an expanded plotline and gameplay direction all created in Unreal Engine 5.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can check out the trailer that aired during today\u2019s Summer Game Fest showcase below:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameBorder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/players.brightcove.net\/694940074001\/rydylbNsz_default\/index.html?videoId=6307540293112\"><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p>Layers of Fears will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X\/S, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Game Store) sometime in early 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are bringing back a franchise that is really special for us, in a new form that will give players a truly fresh gaming experience and that will shed new light on the overall story,\u201d Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno writes in a press release. \u201cOur plan was to recreate the games, but we didn\u2019t want to make it a simple collection of two remastered games. We\u2019ve worked out a new approach, something that is maybe not yet obvious. But I can tell you there\u2019s a reason why we called it Layers of Fears.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, it sounds like Layers of Fears will be some kind of Layers of Fear collection but not as simple as a remaster of the first two games in the series. Perhaps it\u2019s a reimagining, taking all that Bloober Team has learned in development since the&nbsp;original releases. Only time will tell for now. Bloober Team released the first Layers of Fear in 2016, and its follow-up, an indirect sequel called Layers of Fear 2, was released in 2019.
