Perhaps the biggest issue is the aforementioned visual shimmering, which has been a player complaint since launch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For the uninitiated, the shimmering is an almost glitter-like effect that appears on the edging of objects, robots, and more in Horizon Forbidden West. It makes things in-game look shinier than intended and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2022\/03\/16\/new-horizon-forbidden-west-patch-improves-visuals-fixes-quest-progression-and-more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in most patches since the game\u2019s release, Guerrilla Games has addressed it<\/a>. Considering it\u2019s still listed under Patch 1.13\u2019s \u201cknown issues,\u201d it sounds like the problem persists today.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are currently looking into several issues reported by the community,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/horizon\/comments\/uiteft\/horizon_forbidden_west_patch_113\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">patch notes<\/a> read. \u201cPlease note that these issues are not yet fixed in this patch, but our teams are aware of them and they\u2019re being investigated.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are those known issues<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The team continues to make tweaks to the game&#8217;s content with the goal to reduce visual shimmering.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Players have reported an issue in Handa\u2019s Contract \u201cAncient Relics\u201d, where the mission progression will be stuck on \u201c2\/3 Gather Ancient Relics\u201d, or \u201cGo to the Northern Ancient Machine Site\u201d if the player leaves the area.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Outfits may appear to be covered by dark shadows in inventory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below, we\u2019ll post the rest of the patch notes but if you haven\u2019t yet completed the main story of Horizon Forbidden West, be wary as there are some campaign-related spoilers within:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Main Quests<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Main Quest \u201cReach for the Stars\u201d where progression did not update after restarting the \u201cClear the rubble with the pullcaster&#8221; objective.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Main Quest \u201cTo the Brink\u201d where Belna would sometimes not spawn after objective \u201cClear the Daunt: Kill the Machines\u201d.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Main Quest \u201cDeath\u2019s Door\u201d where progression is blocked after using a \u201cLeaplasher Spark Coil\u201d in an upgrade before the &#8220;Gather Resources for the Igniter&#8221; objective is active.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed multiple issues with Main Quest \u201cSingularity\u201d where unexpected character behavior might lead to progression blockers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Side Quests<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cThe Bristlebacks\u201d where progression did not update after examining the Bristleback carcass prior to talking to the Carja Magistrate.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cThe Bristlebacks\u201d where progression might be blocked due to objective &#8220;Kill the Bristlebacks&#8221; not updating in the mine.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cDrowned Hopes\u201d where the progression is blocked if using an alternate route to get to the pryable rocks.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cLofty Ambitions\u201d where the Stormbird might get stuck in the terrain, blocking progression.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cLofty Ambitions\u201d where the merchant Abadund will not have his prompt after quest completion.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cSignal Spike\u201d where progression did not update due to interacting with NPCs in Side Quest \u201cThe Wound in the Sand\u201d.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cSignal Spike\u201d where Aloy can get stuck underwater during the \u201cGo to the Source of the Signal\u201d objective.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cA Soldier\u2019s March\u201d where objective \u201cScan for Penttoh\u2019s Tracks\u201d will not trigger if players arrive on a Sunwing nearby marker for objective \u201cClimb the Mountain\u201d.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cA Soldier\u2019s March\u201d where objective \u201cKill the Frostclaw\u201d would not update and block progression.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed multiple issues with Side Quest \u201cThe Blood machines.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cForbidden Legacy\u201d where progression did not update due to Alva being unresponsive on the \u201dFollow Alva to the Atbay Headquarters\u201d objective.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue with Side Quest \u201cForbidden Legacy\u201d where a gap between two buildings was blocking progression.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>World Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Cauldron IOTA where the objective \u201cOverride the Tallneck\u201d would not update on completion.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Cauldron CHI where overridden machines would act hostile towards Aloy.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Contracts \u201cProperty Retrieval\u201d where progression was blocked upon reloading the activity with all Relics found.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Contracts \u201cAlarm Antennas\u201d where the objective would not update if Aloy has three Antennas before completing the \u201cGather Scrounger Alarm Antennas\u201d objective.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Contracts \u201cRollerback Salvage\u201d where an additional Shellsnapper might spawn.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Rebel Camp \u201cBreached Rock\u201d where progression is blocked when killing Rebel leader before objective \u201cEnter the Bunker\u201d is complete.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fixed an issue in Melee Pits where NPCs would wear the wrong armor.<\/li>\n<li
