However, that launch was later delayed to EA&#8217;s fiscal year 2023, with the publisher announcing it had made the decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/next-need-for-speed-delayed-as-ea-shifts-criterion-to-support-new-battlefield-title\">move Criterion away from Need for Speed<\/a> to help DICE &#8220;deliver the best [Battlefield] experience possible to our players&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nWith Battlefield 2042 now launched, Criterion&#8217;s attention has reportedly returned to Need for Speed, with EA said to be looking to release its long-awaited racer this November.
