For that reason, it\u2019s easy to imagine a sequel or follow-up to it, even though it does end quite nicely, all things considered. However, it doesn\u2019t sound like one is in the cards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a new interview with Edge magazine, Tales of Arise producer Yusuke Tomiwaza said that a sequel isn\u2019t happening, as reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/tales-of-arise-dev-says-there-are-no-plans-for-a-direct-sequel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GamesRadar<\/a><\/em>. Tomiwaza alluded to the team developing Arise in such a way that a sequel wouldn\u2019t be necessary, citing that he hoped the story would be complete \u201cwith a good aftertaste\u201d when players roll credits, eliminating the need for a sequel altogether.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2022\/04\/05\/tales-of-arise-there-are-no-plans-for-a-sequel\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tomizawa continued, citing that the studio wants \u201cto continue to take on the challenge of\u2026acquiring new fans for further expansion of JRPGs,\u201d and that in order to do that, \u201cwe need to come up with a cutting-edge flagship title that builds on the success of Arise, while also providing an opportunity to rediscover the history of the series.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As <em>GamesRadar<\/em> points out, a lack of a sequel to Arise isn\u2019t necessarily the worst news ever for fans because as fans of the series likely know, we\u2019re probably just a few years away from another Tales game.
