Specifically, in a pair of tweets, EA has announced it will remove Russian and Belarusian teams from the most recent versions of its popular sports franchises, FIFA\u00a0and NHL 22.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tw-align-center twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">A statement from EA SPORTS FIFA: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/v3pZvpblgS\">pic.twitter.com\/v3pZvpblgS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 EA SPORTS FIFA (@EASPORTSFIFA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EASPORTSFIFA\/status\/1499057030857777154?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 2, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Following in the footsteps of real-world sports organizations FIFA, UEFA, and IIHF\u00a0in the suspension of Russian and Belarusian national teams and clubs, EA will remove these teams from their games as well in the coming days and weeks. &#8220;In line with our partners at FIFA and UEFA,&#8221; says the Twitter announcement, &#8220;EA Sports has initiated processes to remove the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from EA Sports FIFA products including: FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile, and FIFA Online.
