Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, 2K and others, released its own results today and to nobody\u2019s surprise, Grand Theft Auto V is still selling really well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You might be asking who doesn\u2019t already own GTA V? The answer is millions. Last November, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/11\/04\/grand-theft-auto-v-sold-more-than-5-million-copies-last-quarter-155-million-units-sold\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Game Informer<\/em> reported that GTA V had sold\u00a05 million copies that quarter<\/a>, bringing the total up to 155 million units overall. In Take-Two\u2019s latest results, the publisher revealed that Rockstar\u2019s GTA V has now sold 160 million units, representing another quarter where the game sold 5 million copies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2022\/02\/08\/grand-theft-auto-v-has-surpassed-160-million-units-sold-gta-remastered-trilogy\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are some additional GTA-related stats from today\u2019s results<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Grand Theft Auto series has sold more than 370 million units\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Grand Theft Auto V reached $1 billion in retail sales faster than any entertainment release in history\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Grand Theft Auto V is the best-selling game of the decade in the U.S., based on both dollar sales and units sold\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Elsewhere in the results, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that the critically maligned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/product\/grand-theft-auto-the-trilogy-the-definitive-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy \u2013 The Definitive Edition<\/a>, which saw Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas remastered, \u201csignificantly exceeded\u2019 Take-Two\u2019s expectations, as reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.videogameschronicle.com\/news\/gtas-remaster-trilogy-has-significantly-exceeded-expectations-with-up-to-10m-sales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Video Games Chronicle<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On the Red Dead Redemption side of things, Take-Two has revealed that Rockstar\u2019s wild west series has sold more than 65 million units worldwide, with Red Dead Redemption 2 selling 43 million of those.
