Its director, Josef Fares, is perhaps best known for his dislike of The Academy Awards<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and you might have seen him on The Game Awards<\/em> stage last December. That\u2019s because he accepted the Game of the Year award<\/a> that night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fares is likely still riding the high of that win, but today, news released that\u2019s sure to keep him smiling. Hazelight Studios\u2019 official Twitter account revealed that It Takes Two has sold five million copies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Having sold five million copies, It Takes Two is now Hazelight Studios\u2019 most popular game, beating out A Way Out\u2019s 3.5 million copies sold, as reported by GameSpot<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It Takes Two being this successful isn\u2019t much of a surprise \u2013 the game\u2019s great! Game Informer<\/em> gave it a 9.25 out of 10 and you can read that review here<\/a>. Hazelight Studios seems set on capitalizing on the game\u2019s success, too, as it recently announced a film and television adaptation is in the works<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
