Even though the game&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/12\/22\/cyberpunk-2077-has-already-sold-more-than-13-million-copies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sales<\/a> have already exceeded its\u00a0costs, investors have taken heavy monetary losses. One such investor &#8211; Rosen Law Firm in New York &#8211; filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20201224005214\/en\/EQUITY-ALERT-Rosen-Law-Firm-Files-Securities-Class-Action-Lawsuit-Against-CD-Projekt-S.A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">class action lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0right\u00a0before Christmas in order to recover damages made by misleading statements.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, CD Projekt Red &#8220;failed to disclose\u00a0(1) Cyberpunk 2077 was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/review\/cyberpunk-2077\/cyberpunk-2077-last-gen-review-a-tale-of-two-night-cities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtually unplayable<\/a> on the [last-] generation Xbox or PlayStation systems due to an enormous number of bugs; (2) as a result, Sony would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/12\/17\/cyberpunk-2077-pulled-from-playstation-store-refunds-offered\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">remove<\/a>\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation store, and Sony, Microsoft and CD Projekt would be forced to offer full refunds for the game; (3) consequently, CD Projekt would suffer reputational and pecuniary harm; and (4) as a result, defendants\u2019 statements about its business, operations, and prospects, were materially false and misleading and\/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times.
