Martin, who collaborated with From Software to create the foundation and lore of Elden Ring, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/12\/19\/george-rr-martin-comments-on-his-elden-ring-collaboration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote that the game looks \u201cincredible\u201d in a blog post<\/a>. Thanks to a new <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/edge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edge Magazine<\/a><\/em> interview with Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki, it seems the recent Bluepoint Games remake of Demon\u2019s Souls on PlayStation 5 helped make From\u2019s latest look great.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2022\/01\/03\/elden-rings-graphics-team-felt-pressure-more-than-anyone-else-after-ps5-demons-souls\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, I\u2019m pretty sure our graphics-creation staff felt that pressure more than anyone else,\u201d Miyazaki told<em> Edge<\/em>, as reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.videogameschronicle.com\/news\/miyazaki-says-elden-rings-graphics-team-felt-extra-pressure-due-to-demons-souls-ps5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Video Games Chronicle<\/a><\/em>, when asked if Demon\u2019s Souls\u2019 visuals added any pressure to the Elden Ring team. \u201cAnd not just with Elden Ring, but with all the games we make. Graphical fidelity is not something we put as the top priority. What we ask for on the graphics side depends on the systems and requirements of the game itself, and it takes less priority compared to the other elements of development.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Miyazaki continued, stating that graphics is \u201calways an area where I feel a little bit apologetic towards my graphics team because I know they work extremely hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[They\u2019ve] worked extremely hard on Elden Ring \u2013 our graphics-systems team and our programmers have been pushing a lot of new features to create the best-looking games we\u2019ve ever made,\u201d Miyazaki said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2022\/01\/03\/elden-rings-graphics-team-felt-pressure-more-than-anyone-else-after-ps5-demons-souls\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking further on the topic of the Demon\u2019s Souls remake on PS5, Miyazaki admitted that he actually hasn\u2019t played it. He said he doesn\u2019t like to revisit games he\u2019s worked on.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you say, I was not directly involved in it [Bluepoint Games developed the remake for Sony] and I haven\u2019t actually played the Demon\u2019s Souls remake, but this is because I just don\u2019t enjoy playing the games that I\u2019ve made in the past,\u201d he told <em>Edge<\/em>, according to <em>VGC<\/em>. \u201cIt brings up a lot of old emotions, a lot of old memories, and this gets a little bit overwhelming, and it doesn\u2019t feel like playing anymore.
