Mushroom Wars 2<\/a><\/em> has been proudly carrying the legacy of its predecessor. Original Mushroom Wars<\/em> became one of the RTS-genre pioneers on the past generation of consoles, introducing intuitive gamepad support for controlling massive fungi hordes of up to 4000 units on the screen.<\/p>\n

We wanted to keep the authentic look and feel of the original game but make it look more modern. In the end, we came to making visuals more realistic and changed the scale a little. We recreated one of the original multiplayer maps that had been very popular to make sure that nothing was broken and the game feels the same.<\/p>\n

To make multiplayer more fun and eliminate the snowball effect we added heroes of four different tribes. Each hero has four unique skills that can have a dramatic impact on the battlefield and take the opponent by surprise. We also introduced 2v2 mode, so now players can compete in teams and various skills of different heroes can lead to interesting synergy effects. With this addition, the proven gameplay of the original game really shines.<\/p>\n

For the players who wanted to play along and go deep into the Mushroom world we prepared a story-driven campaign. An unknown enemy has made mischief among the Mushroom folk, and once friendly neighbors have begun to fight one another. Lead the Mushroom Army and mediate peace! You are to become a general of the Mushroom Army. As a fearless commander and skillful strategist, your role is to battle opposing tribes, capture and hold settlements, defensive towers, and armories, increase the size of your Mushroom forces, conquer the battlefield and solve the grandpa’s Mushroom mystery in the end.<\/p>\n
