The former head of HR said she wants to do \u201ceverything in my power to make sure everyone who works here has a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.\u201d In doing so, d\u2019Hondt said she feels Bungie\u2019s\u00a0leadership team needs to move forward with people new, or rather, people that haven\u2019t reportedly enabled the toxic workplace culture detailed in <em>IGN\u2019s<\/em> report.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know that they need to be trusted to be your advocates \u2013 not labeled as \u2018enablers\u2019 or seen as company resources who provide bad actors with safe harbor,\u201d d\u2019Hondt wrote in the email.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>IGN<\/em> reports that d\u2019Hondt is stepping down from her role as head of HR, but the email does not clarify whether or not she will continue to work at Bungie in some capacity. However, d\u2019Hondt said she\u2019ll work with the leadership team at Bungie to determine the next appropriate steps. d\u2019Hondt also details abuse at Bungie that she experienced. She said it was \u201ca man, an executive, and someone I thought was my friend at Bungie,\u201d and that it resulted in that person\u2019s termination.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am proud of the work I did at this company,\u201d d\u2019Hondt\u2019s email concludes, according to <em>IGN<\/em>. \u201cI believe I made recommendations that were in the best interest of our people and in service of the company we wish to become.
