First\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/games\/system_shock_remastered\/b\/pc\/archive\/2016\/03\/14\/watch-two-minutes-of-system-shock-remastered-pre-alpha-footage.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced in 2016<\/a>, the game was tentatively planned to launch this past summer but will now arrive sometime in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Nightdive still hasn\u2019t nailed down an exact release date. It did announce a publishing deal with Prime Matter to help bring the game to PC and unspecified consoles. Nightdive bills it as the final demo before the game\u2019s full release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The wait continues, but some update is better than nothing (unlike the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/11\/03\/video-games-stuck-in-development-hell-part-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">long-lost System Shock 3<\/a>).
