Keanu Reeves has revealed that he doesn\u2019t believe Mortal Kombat to be a good fit for John Wick or Neo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s always tough when you hear people you look up to say something wrong, but sometimes you just have to power through it and that\u2019s what we\u2019re all doing after Reeves told Esquire<\/a><\/em> he doesn\u2019t want his characters in Mortal Kombat. As reported by GameSpot<\/a><\/em>, it\u2019s not that Reeves isn\u2019t a fan of Mortal Kombat \u2013 he just thinks John Wick and Neo don\u2019t belong.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it was up to me? No, Mortal Komat is awesome in so many ways, but I think…you know, Neo, John Wick, they\u2019re doing their own thing,\u201d Reeves told Esquire<\/em>. \u201cMortal Kombat is doing their own thing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Look, Reeves certainly knows these characters more than us Internet folks who want to see Neo lean back to dodge Scorpion\u2019s infamous \u201cget over here\u201d chain attack, but c\u2019mon, no to John Wick as well? That character is a trained assassin that has killed anyone in his way \u2013 surely Sub-Zero doesn\u2019t stand a chance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Regardless, there might still be a chance despite what Reeves says. As noted by GameSpot<\/em>, Mortal Kombat and its developer NetherRealm are owned by Warner Bros. which is the same company that owns The Matrix<\/em> franchise…so the possibility is there. In fact, Game Informer<\/em><\/a> reported in 2019 that series creator Ed Boon said NetherRealm was \u201cpretty close\u201d to adding Neo to Injustice 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n
