The two most notable changes coming to Deathloop by way of this update are that NPCs are a lot smarter now, and Colt\u00a0will have a harder time avoiding Julianna during an invasion, as reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltrends.com\/gaming\/deathloop-update-invasions-npcs\/?utm_source=twitter&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_content=socialorg_gaming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Digital Trends<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/11\/22\/new-deathloop-update-makes-npcs-smarter-invasions-harder-for-colt\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cGame Update 2 improves NPC reactions and pathing, UI clarity and appearance, audio mix quality, and many other elements,\u201d Bethesda\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bethesda.net\/en\/article\/1X1C3x2hFY1Abi58oTYZfY\/deathloop-game-update-2-available-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog post<\/a> about the update reads. \u201cIt also adds controller remapping as well as field-of-view and motion-blur controls for PS5.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>In terms of NPC behavior, here are the changes now live in-game:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NPCs now react to bullets passing close by, such as headshots that miss<\/li>\n<li>NPCs now react when another is assassinated close by<\/li>\n<li>NPCs now hear better and react faster to nearby footfalls<\/li>\n<li>NPCs under fire no longer move to take cover if the player is too close<\/li>\n<li>NPCs can now deduce the direction from which a grenade was thrown<\/li>\n<li>NPCs no longer stop trying to kill Colt if Julianna uses Nexus to link him to them<\/li>\n<li>Interrupted aerial assassinations will no longer cause NPCs to become mostly invulnerable\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Numerous other small fixes and improvements to NPC behavior, reactions, pathing, and placement<\/li>\n<li>Charlie Montague no longer gets stuck in the floor or ground if he\u2019s kicked while using Shift<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In terms of new invasion changes, here\u2019s what you can expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Colt dropping that game now counts as a win for a player-controller Julianna<\/li>\n<li>AI-controlled Julianna is now more reactive to Colt\u2019s actions<\/li>\n<li>The antenna that Colt must hack to escape now takes slightly longer to hack<\/li>\n<li>AFK players are tagged<\/li>\n<li>Colt players who linger in Colt\u2019s tunnels for too long are automatically tagged and that causes the tunnel doors to open<\/li>\n<li>Higher chance that you will invade players on your Friends list while they are playing in \u201cOnline mode\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Strelak Sapper Charges thrown by NPCs that Julianna has attacked will no longer create false Colt tags for Julianna<\/li>\n<li>Players now properly head audio reactions from the opposing player during melee<\/li>\n<li>Strelak Sapper Charges will now stick to Julianna as they do to other NPCs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other notable changes include the ability to remap buttons, invert sticks, and new options that allow players to adjust field-of-view and motion blur. UI buttons and text in menu options are larger, too.
