It also requires more capital and time, hence the delay.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt became clear that recreating these true stories at a high quality was going to require more people, capital, and time than we had,\u201d Victura CEO Peter Tamte said in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sixdays.com\/news\/2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delay announcement<\/a>. \u201cDoubling our team is just one of the many things we\u2019re doing to make sure Six Days in Fallujah brings new kinds of tactical and emotional depth to military shooters.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Atomic Games attempted to release a game set during the Battle of Fallujah way back in 2009. However,\u00a0the project was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/b\/news\/archive\/2009\/10\/22\/six-days-in-fallujah-still-a-possibility.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rightfully criticized<\/a>\u00a0for the developer\u2019s\u00a0decision to alongside the CIA to publish the game, with many calling it propaganda. Ultimately, Atomic Games\u2019 project\u00a0was re-revealed back in February with news that Victura and Highwire Games were helming the Fallujah-centric game instead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The studio said around the announcement that the team had\u00a0spent over three years building unique technology to overhaul the game and its mechanics. It also revealed that it hopes to go beyond simply presenting another shooter and instead show the realities of war and its consequences.
