It will have live-service components, a global launch, and locales and a narrative based on or at least inspired by\u00a0Chinese mythology.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/11\/03\/mobile-moba-honor-of-kings-getting-live-service-open-world-spinoff\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The new trailer, which launched over the weekend, features a gorgeous and flashy open world significantly more open than that seen in Honor of Kings&#8230;which makes sense considering Honor of Kings:\u00a0World\u00a0is meant to be an open world title. As noted by Kotaku, World\u00a0will likely end up being massive \u2013 its MOBA predecessor, Honor of Kings, is one of the biggest games in the world, <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/11\/01\/tencent-claims-record-100m-daily-users-on-mobile-game-honor-of-kings\/\"><span><span><span>surpassing over 100 million daily players in 2020<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>It doesn\u2019t hurt that it has Chinese entertainment conglomerate Tencent\u2019s backing, too. <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/tech\/apps-social\/article\/3116088\/honour-kings-became-worlds-most-popular-game-it-was-desperate\"><span><span><span>Tencent originally wanted to make a mobile version of League of Legends<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span>, but Riot Games passed on it and so Honor of Kings was made by TiMi Studio instead.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Similar to Genshin Impact, World\u00a0appears to be a third-person action-RPG set in a fantastical world filled with different towns and cities, NPCs, enemies, and more.
