Hackers have wasted no time with the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch<\/strong><\/a> – discovering its secrets before it was even officially released<\/a>. Within just weeks, one talented individual known as ‘stacksmashing<\/a>‘ dug into the system’s code and worked out how to get id Software’s classic first-person shooter DOOM<\/a><\/strong> up and running.<\/p>\n

While the results weren’t exactly pretty, it was only just the beginning. The same hacker – once again, with the help of fellow coder Konrad Beckmann<\/a> – has now got some more retro classics up and running like the original Pok\u00e9mon<\/a><\/strong>, The Legend of Zelda<\/a><\/strong>, Super Mario Bros. 3<\/a><\/strong> and Contra<\/a><\/strong>.
