Dordogne<\/a> is a lovely-looking adventure game that\u2019s been floating under the radar for a while now. Developed by French developer\u00a0Un je ne sais quoi and animation company Umanimation, the narrative puzzle adventure game tells an emotional, slice-of-life childhood story brought to life with hand-crafted, watercolor visuals. The game has found a new publisher in Focus Entertainment (formerly known as Focus Home Interactive, publisher of Sherlock Holmes and Trackmania) and a 2022 release window.<\/p>\n

The game takes place in the French region\u00a0of the same name. Players control Mimi, a woman who returns to her late grandmother\u2019s countryside home,\u00a0where she spent many summers as a child. Her grandmother has left several puzzles and letters to remind Mimi of their time together,\u00a0which players relive\u00a0as a 10-year old version of Mimi. Players jump back and forth between past and present Mimi to solve riddles, collect photos and other objects to fill Mimi\u2019s journal \u2013 all to remind you of\u00a0the loving relationship between her and her grandmother. Dordogne will\u00a0arrive on PC and consoles, with Switch being the only confirmed platform. According to the game\u2019s listing on Focus Entertainment\u2019s website<\/a>, it launches October 5, 2022. After watching the enchanting\u00a0gameplay footage, it\u2019s a bummer\u00a0to have to wait another year to explore this beautiful game, but the\u00a0extra development time and additional funding should only help shine it up even brighter.\u00a0<\/p>\n
