One is \u201cWow, what an amazing game!\u201d and the second is \u201cThey should really port that to PC or PlayStation 5 with performance enhancements.\u201d Instead of the latter, what if you went the hard opposite and released the game on old hardware? Bloodborne PSX, an in-development demake the 2015 game in the style of a PlayStation 1 title, is just that, and it looks more enticing than you\u2019d think.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Developer Lilith Walther has been tinkering on Bloodborne PSX since 2017, and those who have followed her on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/b0tster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> have seen the project take shape over the years. Other designers and artists have contributed to the project as well, such as composer <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheNobleDemon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Evelyn Lark<\/a>. Walther has previously shown off demade versions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fjmVpBAEtPY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Derelict Estate<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6ioh7xZnDsU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Father Gasgione<\/a> boss fight, and the latest video shows how the team revamped the game\u2019s memorable opening sequence. Frankly, it looks fantastic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/10\/22\/bloodborne-psx-faithfully-de-makes-the-games-memorable-prologue\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Walter has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/a-fan-made-demake-of-bloodborne-is-turning-it-into-a-ps1-era-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously confirmed<\/a> that she plans to release the finished game at some point but that it won\u2019t be playable on an actual PS1 since it runs on Unreal Engine. I want a 4K\/60fps version of Bloodborne as much as the next fan, but I\u2019d be perfectly happy with playing a \u201890s-era take on the game if it looks and runs as well as this.
