PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X\/S native editions of Cyberpunk 2077 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/07\/09\/the-witcher-3-is-getting-dlc-inspired-by-the-netflix-tv-series-with-its-ps5-xbox-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/a> have been pushed into next year.<\/p>\n<p>The reveal of these delays comes\u00a0as an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdprojekt.com\/en\/investors\/regulatory-announcements\/current-report-no-39-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">update to investors<\/a> on the CD Projekt\u00a0website. Cyberpunk 2077\u2019s upgraded version will come in Q1 2022, while Witcher 3 fans will have to wait until Q2 2022 to adventure with Geralt of Rivia on the most recent console hardware. Here\u2019s the full quote of the delay from CDPR\u2019s site. (Note \u2013 CDPR has translated this announcement from its original Polish-language version):<\/p>\n<p> CD PROJEKT S.A. (hereinafter referred to as \u201cthe Company\u201d) wishes to provide an update regarding its publication schedule for 2021 as concerns the release of dedicated versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for next-gen consoles (Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5). The Management Board of the Company hereby announces that, based on recommendations supplied by persons supervising development, it has decided to allocate additional time to both projects. The Company currently intends to release the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 in the first quarter of 2022, and the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the second quarter of 2022. <\/p>\n<p>CD Projekt\u00a0is no stranger to taking its time developing games. Cyberpunk 2077 was famously in development for many years before its tumultuous release last December.\u00a0Awash with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/08\/18\/cyberpunk-2077s-13-patch-address-myriad-of-issues-and-adds-free-content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technical issues<\/a> and player dissatisfaction of the console ports, the\u00a0PlayStation 4 version was pulled from the digital PlayStation Store (it has since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/06\/15\/cyberpunk-2077-returns-to-playstation-store-after-being-pulled-last-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">been restored<\/a> to the PSN store) and new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/12\/18\/cd-projekt-red-provides-update-on-cyberpunk-2077-refunds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refunding policies<\/a> had to be enacted.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting there are framerate enhancements when\u00a0playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles currently, but any additional enhancements will not be available until the console native versions drop next year.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>What do you think about these delays?
