Spencer essentially stated that it could never be finished as there\u2019s no quota the company is after.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/10\/19\/microsofts-phil-spencer-reiterates-xboxs-commitment-to-buying-studios-it-deems-a-good\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p> <span><span>\u201cThere\u2019s no quota,\u201d Spencer said. \u201cThere\u2019s no kind of timeline where I have to go acquire studios by a certain time, but if we find a studio where we have a good fit, we share what we\u2019re trying to go do and what they\u2019re to go do, and if we feel we can both get better together, absolutely.<\/span><\/span> <span><span>It\u2019s one of the privileges we have of being at Microsoft and having the capability to take a long-term approach, and adding amazing creators to the portfolios is an important part of that.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span><span>Spencer said he\u2019s proud of the studios Xbox has acquired so far, adding that he\u2019s especially happy with the choice and opportunities Xbox offers its developers.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>\u201cIf you look at some of the people we\u2019ve acquired and partnered with, it\u2019s people we\u2019ve had long-term relationships with, and they\u2019ve come inside of Xbox now, and they see our roadmap on platform and service, and I want them to be able to do their most amazing creative work as part of this team,\u201d Spencer said.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>This interview comes just over half a year since <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/03\/08\/microsoft-zenimax-bethesda-acquisition-for-75-billion-officially-approved-by-eu\"><span><span><span>Microsoft acquired ZeniMax, and subsequently, Bethesda<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span>, which brought multiple studios under the Xbox umbrella all at once, for $7.5 billion.
