There\u2019s never been a better time to play Overwatch<\/em> <\/a><\/strong>on Xbox with the improvements in performance that Xbox Series X|S brings to the game through the console\u2019s upgrades in power. Playing Overwatch<\/em> on next-generation hardware like Xbox Series X|S allows the game to look better, run smoother, and load faster.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re excited to utilize the 120Hz and variable-refresh rate modes that Microsoft brought with the Xbox Series X|S hardware.\u202fThe enhancements that come with Xbox Series X|S allows players to run the game at higher levels of graphical quality, giving console players the ability to enable visual features that were previously reserved for higher-end PC hardware, which is very exciting for our community. In addition to running smoother, the new hardware allows for Auto HDR which looks and plays great for Overwatch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The faster framerates lead to smoother gameplay and reduced input latency which directly correlates with achieving higher accuracy when aiming — something that is very important for Overwatch<\/em>. Alternatively, the game consistently reaches a higher resolution which helps with the clarity of the image and allows players to more precisely pick up on small changes and detail. All these updates give our players a boost in situational awareness and enhances their performance.<\/p>\n

As a developer it\u2019s always exciting to see how our game will perform on new consoles, and we\u2019re looking forward to how the fast, action-packed world of Overwatch<\/a><\/strong><\/em> comes to life with the added power and performance of Xbox Series X|S. And of course, the extremely fast load times are a huge improvement for players on the newest generation of Xbox.<\/p>\n
