The team behind Final Fantasy XIV is still working hard to bring the extremely popular MMO over to Xbox consoles.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Xbox players have asked for FFXIV for years, and game director and producer Naoki Yoshida has commented on this desire many times. This February, <\/span><\/span>Yoshida seemed to indicate that an Xbox version of the MMO would eventually happen<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, perhaps in the distant future.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In a new interview with Easy Allies<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span>, Yoshida has provided yet another update, stating that discussions are still happening, as reported by <\/span>IGN<\/a>.\u00a0<\/i><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo I feel bad for saying the same thing every time, but we are still in discussions with Microsoft, and I feel like our conversations are going in a positive tone,\u201d Yoshida told Easy Allies. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say that we do not have an Xbox version, but I\u2019m hoping that the timing will be very soon that I\u2019ll have some kind of update to the players.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yoshida further commented that he\u2019s sure there are a lot of things players want to ask him about an Xbox version of FFXIV and that there\u2019s plenty of things he\u2019d love to share … he just simply can\u2019t talk about those details right now.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure the time will come so if you could stand by, that would be great,\u201d Yoshida said.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And there you have it \u2013 no confirmed news that an Xbox version of FFXIV is happening, but it seems more and more likely that one is on the way. Let\u2019s hope those discussions stay positive.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
