Just in time for the spooky season, we’re excited to share that Echo Generation<\/a><\/em><\/strong> will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC on October 21! And, (drum roll please) it will be available with Xbox Game Pass on day one!<\/p>\n

Some of you may remember the supernatural world of Echo Generation <\/em>from the demo in The Game Awards festival and ID@Xbox showcase. Soon, you’ll have the full Echo Generation<\/em> experience and we can’t wait for you to find out more about the mysteries of Maple Town.<\/p>\n

Questions from the demo like \u201cWhere are those Christmas lights?\u201d \u201cWhy are there so many talking trash pandas?\u201d or \u201cWhat\u2019s the story with that mysterious crash?\u201d will be answered in a few short weeks.<\/p>\n

Set in the ’90s, Echo Generation<\/em> is a heartwarming story about the supernatural, family, and the nostalgia of growing up in a small town. It has a charming blend of exploration, quests, and unique characters inspired by some of our favorite adventure games we\u2019ve played growing up.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot to experience in Echo Generation <\/em>and we wanted to create our take on the old-school, Paper Mario<\/em>-style, turn-based combat, crafted with a special Cococucumber twist. With over 30 unique minigames and a charming cast of characters and pets to level up, there are many ways to customize your build to take on dangerous enemies and bosses.<\/p>\n

Just like the kids in Echo Generation<\/em>, our team at Cococucumber are from diverse backgrounds. We wanted to see ourselves represented in the game, so we created a selection of diverse characters for you to select as your hero. Finally, there is one more surprise! Hint: Can you guess who your crush will be?<\/p>\n

Echo Generation<\/em> was created during the pandemic and was a creative outlet for all of us on the team during this time. We look forward to sharing something heartwarming and beautiful with all Xbox fans.<\/p>\n

Following Riverbond<\/em> (2019), Echo Generation<\/em> is the second title in our Voxel Trilogy; we have pushed our signature 3D pixel look even further with higher resolution models, beautiful environments and character designs that capture the charm of this retro art style.<\/p>\n
