This brings it in line with the experience that PC players have had with Skyrim.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O0RAqjlLKNQ?feature=oembed\" alt=\"Please accept cookies to see this iframe.\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Right now, Skyrim is available on Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/08\/06\/bethesda-doom-elder-scrolls-ps5-xbox-series-x\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bethesda has promised free next-gen upgrades<\/a> for a number of its titles, including Doom Eternal, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/10\/doom-eternal-ps5-xbox-series-x-upgrade-launch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">there\u2019s no word<\/a> about when this will be going live just yet.<\/p>\n<p>Skyrim, of course, was released back in 2011 and has come to pretty much any piece of games technology released since. Except the Ouya. RIP.<\/p>\n<p>In September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/09\/21\/microsoft-bethesda-acquisition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft announced that was buying Bethesda<\/a> parent company ZeniMax Media for a whopping $7.5bn. This has left many wondering if games from the Skyrim maker would be exclusive to Xbox consoles, with Microsoft remaining coy on the subject. Earlier this month, CFO Tim Stuart said that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/16\/bethesda-games-first-best-xbox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bethesda games will need to be \u201cfirst or best\u201d on Xbox hardware<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of Skyrim mods, though, since these were rolled out into the game, there have been some pretty entertaining results.
