Casey Hudson is back in the games industry.<\/p>\n

Casey Hudson<\/strong>, BioWare’s most recognisable face, and longtime studio GM, left the studio in December last year<\/a> to try something different. The veteran developer luckily won’t be be leaving games behind, however.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Hudson announced his return to the world of game development under a new banner: Humanoid Studios<\/strong>, his new venture, which is going to be working on a new IP. Humanoid is based in Canada, with offices in British Columbia, and Alberta.<\/p>\n

The team already has a few members, and it’s hiring for a number of positions<\/a>. Humanoid has a flexible work environment that combines standard in-office with home-based and even remote work.<\/p>\n

“We believe in the power of small, agile teams, and a flat organizational structure, where everyone is empowered to make decisions and help drive the project vision,” the studio said.<\/p>\n

For his part, Hudson said the studio is “built to unleash the creative freedom of developers.”<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Dragon Age executive producer Mark Darrah, who left BioWare with Hudson<\/a>, is not part of today’s announcement. Darrah has, however, been sharing game development advice from his new YouTube channel<\/a>, and so far does not appear to be involved in any projects.<\/p>\n
