With more casting news on the way, we decided to compile all of the confirmed casting choices so far, and we will update it as more are revealed in the coming months. For those curious, here is every character casting confirmed for <em>The Last of Us <\/em>TV series from HBO.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>The Last of Us<\/em> TV series just recently added two new directors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/04\/23\/the-last-of-us-tv-series-lands-two-new-directors-with-zbanic-and-ali-abbasi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with\u00a0Jasmila \u017dbani\u0107 (<em>Aida<\/em>) and Ali Abbasi (<em>Border<\/em>)<\/a>. The pair joins\u00a0<em>Chernobyl\u00a0<\/em>creator Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog&#8217;s Neil Druckmann. The casting choices\u00a0for the most notable characters, can be seen in the list below:<\/p>\n<h2>Every\u00a0<em>The Last of Us\u00a0<\/em>TV series character casting confirmed so far<\/h2>\n<aside>\n<p>Pedro Pascal &#8211; Joel Miller<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel Luna &#8211; Tommy Miller<\/p>\n<p>Bella Ramsey &#8211; Ellie<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>This is a much shorter list than what we have for the upcoming\u00a0<em>Borderlands\u00a0<\/em>movie from Eli Roth, however,\u00a0more casting choices will be revealed in the near future.\u00a0We still don&#8217;t have a trailer at this point, but at least we aren&#8217;t totally in the dark about what&#8217;s on the horizon.\u00a0\u00a0Naughty Dog&#8217;s Neil Druckmann previously confirmed\u00a0that the upcoming adaptation would feature original content alongside the already-known game narrative that made the first title a PlayStation insta-hit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We talked at length that season 1 of<em>\u00a0The Last of U<\/em>s series is going to be the first game,&#8221; Druckmann mentioned in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/03\/22\/the-last-of-us-tv-series-is-set-in-the-first-game-but-will-offer-original-content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous interview<\/a><i>.\u00a0<\/i>&#8220;As far as the superficial things, like should a character wear the same plaid shirt or the same red shirt? They might or might not appear in it; that\u2019s way less important to us than getting the core of who these people are and the core of their journey. Things sometimes stay pretty close. It\u2019s funny to see my dialogue there from the games in HBO scripts.
