The game was originally released as an Apple Arcade exclusive in 2019, but was <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/02\/09\/skate-city-is-coming-to-console-and-pc-very-soon\"><span><span><span><span>announced for consoles<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span> back in February.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Skate City takes\u00a0place in famous skate spot cities around the world such as Oslo, Norway, Barcelona, Spain, and Los Angeles. Taking equal inspiration from the Tony Hawk&#8217;s Pro Skater and Skate series, the game features an\u00a0easy-to-use-tough-to-master control scheme on a mobile touch screen. While Skate City\u00a0felt intuitive on mobile and easy to pick up and play, it&#8217;ll be interesting to see\u00a0if and how the controls\u00a0translate to a more traditional controller scheme. Skate City&#8217;s port is being handled by developer Room 8, which\u00a0also developed ports for Abzu and What Remains of Edith Finch.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>On Switch and Epic Game Store, Skate City will be available to pre-order starting on April 29. During its pre-order period and launch week, April 29 to May 13, on Switch and Epic, the game will be on sale for $9.99. Aside from that, Skate City will cost $14.99.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Skate City is the third game in the Snowman catalogue that&#8217;s been moved from mobile to console after a period of exclusivity. Back in August 2020, the publisher re-released Alto&#8217;s Adventure and Alto&#8217;s Odyssey together as The Alto Collection. Additionally, Where Cards Fall, developed by Blaseball developer The Game Band and published by Snowman, is expected to be re-released sometime this year on Switch and PC.
