A new series of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will drop on Netflix today and you know what that means: the nation of Poland has again conspired to make us all very sad.

Something else it means: CDPR’s devs have been preparing a new patch for Cyberpunk 2077 (the videogame). Announced today, the details of Cyberpunk’s 2.5 patch will drop tomorrow, the 21st of October, before the update itself releases on the 22nd.

Is it Cyberpunk 2077’s actual, true, proper, pinky-swear final patch? No, and given the fact that The Witcher 3 just got a remaster 11 years after release, I’m not sure such a thing is possible.

Anyway, not much in the way of detail there in the patch’s announcement post, I suppose, meaning we all have to wait til CDPR furnishes us with the deets in tomorrow’s stream? Well, for the most part, yes, but the studio did drop some information about the patch’s contents in the announcement post. Specifically, that the patch would contain new stuff in the way of cyberware customisation and “a new dual-wielding playstyle.”
