After seven months of a blistering pace of updates for the singleplayer RPG, I feel like I speak for all (most?) of us when I say: Take a breather, champ. It&#8217;s ok. Please don&#8217;t rush. We understand. Its new release times are:<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"europe\">Europe<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 22:00 (UTC)<\/li>\n<li>October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 23:00 (CET)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"north-america\">North America<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 15:00 (PT)<\/li>\n<li>October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 18:00 (ET)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"asia\">Asia<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>October 30th, 2026 (Fri) at 7:00 (KST\/JST)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>News writer Harvey Randall expressed a similar sentiment in August when Pearl Abyss announced it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/rpg\/crimson-desert-will-be-slowing-down-its-free-updates-in-preparation-for-its-paid-dlc-and-im-just-glad-pearl-abyss-is-finally-pacing-itself\/\">slowing down the pace of free updates<\/a> to Crimson Desert in order to focus on DLC development. Since launch, Crimson Desert has added new critters, new chests, a shotgun, new difficulty options, new mounts, boss rematches\u2060\u2014too much, really. I haven&#8217;t played, but my friend keeps telling me about a &#8220;kung-fu button&#8221; that&#8217;s supposedly in the game. Is he pulling my leg? Why would I not believe him at this point?<\/p>\n<p>Charting the Unknown&#8217;s first trailer contained <em>a lot<\/em>, but features producer Mollie Taylor fixated on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/action\/crimson-deserts-upcoming-dlc-decides-its-the-sims-now-i-guess\/\" target=\"_blank\">building construction options<\/a>, something that reminds me of Skyrim&#8217;s Hearthfire DLC. Mollie said it also showcased &#8220;running on water&#8221; and &#8220;grabbing onto a shark like some sort of aquatic Uber.&#8221; What do you <em>do<\/em> in this game, again?<\/p>\n<p>While the delay indicates this DLC is coming in hot, it hardly even feels like <em>anything<\/em> amid an industry dominated by increasingly lengthy development times. It&#8217;s like Pearl Abyss is still blowing out the rest of the field in a 1600m race, but is now out of contention to break a world record. It&#8217;s fine, man.
